The problems that Dusty’s group works to solve include everything from basic occupancy planning to conference room scheduling and leveraging data from integrated automation systems. Dusty says that the first step workplace leaders should take is to really understand how an organization works by gathering data about how space is utilized. He explains the three different levels of smart offices and the requirements needed to help companies connect their employees to the workplace using mobile platforms. Mike asks Dusty about bringing together decision-makers from various departments and how workplace professionals can be more strategic about improving productivity by connecting people to their space.
