David Martínez, PhD is Global Director at FMHOUSE, an international firm providing Facility Management consultancy and training, while also serving as Director of CIFMERS Global. In recognition of World FM Day this week, Mike Petrusky asks David to share his perspective on the state of the facility management industry across the world. David offers an analogy to help explain how facility management is viewed and how workplace-related terminology is understood in different countries. Mike and David talk about some of the past guests from the “FM Innovator” podcast and the thought-leadership that have provided to the FM community. They also agree on the importance of elevating the FM profession and the need to educate people outside of the profession through platforms like this podcast and CIFMERS Global conferences.
